It looked for excellent career centers, strong academic offerings, stellar reputations, and networking opportunities. The ranking highlights schools that do an exceptional job of preparing students for the workforce upon graduation.
WestX—Westminster’s pathway to career confidence provides students an individualized roadmap through their college journey. They explore interests, dive deeper into learning, gain relevant, hands-on experience, and show off their skills in an annual student showcase.
Westminster’s educational foundation combined with personalized career coaching equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, and experience to reach their potential. The college’s career-certified coaches provide free, lifetime services to students and alumni.
“The career center took me through a strengths assessment and helped me brainstorm work that aligned most with my strengths, plus a top-notch resume review,” recalls alum Maggie Regier (‘20), an event coordinator in New York City. “I would not have been able to get my current job without their fantastic help.”
The ranking uses Department of Education College Scorecard data to find the college in each state with the highest listed job placement numbers ten years after graduation. It found those who earn a college degree are nearly 25 percent more likely to become employed with an 86 percent average employment rate compared to 69 percent for high school graduates.
