Cost of college went up for all students at the Skin Science Institute

Tuition and fees rose 3.6 percent for 2018-19 at the Skin Science Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Utah students paid $14,500 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $500 more than the $14,000 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 70 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 20 students received grants or scholarships totaling $97,250 and 17 students took out student loans totaling more than $110,956.

Including all undergraduates (146), 91 students used grants or scholarships totaling $421,623, and 104 students took out $689,026 in federal student loans.
