Cost of college went up for all students at Midwives College of Utah

Tuition and fees rose 8.5 percent for 2018-19 at Midwives College of Utah, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Utah students paid $6,945 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $545 more than the $6,400 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 83 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 5 students received grants or scholarships totaling $19,155 and 4 students took out student loans totaling more than $25,235.

Including all undergraduates (262), 119 students used grants or scholarships totaling $351,379, and 123 students took out $563,722 in federal student loans.
