71 percent of applicants to Midwives College of Utah were admitted for fall 2018

At Midwives College of Utah, 86 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 99 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Salt Lake City enrolled 262 students in fall 2018, including 257 in undergraduate and five in graduate programs, data shows. 13.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

20 percent of undergraduates are residents of Utah, and 80 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Black or African American (11 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the seven students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 100 percent enrolled.
