67 percent of applicants to the University of Utah were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Utah, 77 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Salt Lake City enrolled 33,023 students in fall 2018, including 24,743 in undergraduate and 8,280 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

61 percent of undergraduates are residents of Utah, and 29 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (67 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 23,096 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
