Senator Mike Lee and Representative Chip Roy have introduced a bill titled the ICC Out of NYC Act. This legislation aims to prevent United Nations properties in New York City from being used by representatives or employees of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The move comes as both lawmakers express concerns about the ICC's influence over American sovereignty.

Senator Lee stated, "The United States is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court, a body outside of American law that has repeatedly threatened the sovereignty of America and her allies across the globe." He emphasized that America has its own legal system capable of handling criminal matters without external interference. "Americans should not play host to an organization that pretends to have made-up power over them," he added.

Representative Roy echoed these sentiments, calling for decisive action against the ICC. "The ICC should be sanctioned and - at the very least - shouldn't have an office at the United Nations," he said. He urged Congress to act swiftly in removing the court's presence from New York.

Further details on this legislative proposal can be accessed through available resources.
