CHICAGO – Today, the American Library Association (ALA) opened registration for the 2023 Annual Conference & Exhibition, to be held at the McCormick Place Convention Center and surrounding hotels in Chicago, Illinois, June 22–27.
The 2023 ALA Annual Conference invites library professionals at all career levels and from all library types to engage in a variety of professional development opportunities, including more than 160 education programs; "News You Can Use" sessions, featuring the latest insights from policy, research, and technology experts; and more than 14 thought leaders and celebrities who will speak on the main stage.
ALA President Lessa Kanani’opua Pelayo-Lozada will host the ALA President’s Program, and ALA divisions, chairs, and round tables will present sessions that focus on important topics and challenges that libraries face, as well as host entertaining activities.
The Library Marketplace will feature more than 500 exhibitors showcasing innovative products and services and publishers hosting more than 300 established and new authors on nine stages. Other Marketplace favorites include “Meet the Authors” opportunities, poster sessions, the “Live at the 25” podcast booth, free advanced reading copies of books, and more.
