Sanpete County ranked 29th in state for resident earnings in 2017

Sanpete County ranked 29th among counties in Utah by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Sanpete County residents was an inflation-adjusted $18,247 per year. Sanpete County had 8,366 households in 2017, with a population of 28,892.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Summit County. Summit County's median income was $40,823 per year after adjusting for inflation – $22,576 more than Sanpete County. It had 14,781 households in 2017 and a population of 39,731.
