The University of Utah women’s tennis team will return home for two matches against Big 12 opponents, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on March 26 and the Kansas State Wildcats on March 28. The Utes are currently ranked No. 33 in the ITA polls with a season record of 12-5 overall and a conference record of 5-2.

These upcoming matches are significant as they offer Utah an opportunity to continue its six-match winning streak and maintain its undefeated status at home this season. The contests also provide a chance for the Utes to improve their standing within the competitive Big 12 Conference.

Oklahoma State, ranked No. 25, comes into Salt Lake City following a recent win over Baylor. The Cowgirls have three singles players ranked in the Top 100: Rose Marie Kijkamp (No. 27), Olivia Lincer (No. 74), and Lucia Peyre (No. 76). Their doubles team of Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp is currently ranked No. 12 nationally with an impressive record this season under head coach Sergey Avdeyev, now in his second year.

Kansas State, holding the No. 62 ranking, recently lost to TCU but secured the doubles point in that match through strong performances by freshmen Varvara Bernovich and Diana Smolinska as well as Sasha Kyselova and Chanel Rustemova. The Wildcats feature sisters Martaa Chogsomjav and Maralgoo Chogsomjav, who form one of the top-ranked doubles pairs at No. 54 nationally.

Utah’s roster includes returning seniors Dylan Lolofie, Kaila Barksdale, and Emma Valletta; juniors Sara Akid and Emma Kamper; sophomore Hayley Roberts; along with newcomers Emmie Moore, Kamea Medora, Andjelija Markovic, and Hailey Kerker.

Head coach Ruth Ann Allen leads Utah after joining this past season from Weber State where she won a Big Sky Championship in 2023 and was twice named Big Sky Coach of the Year (2022–2023). Allen previously spent two decades as an assistant at Utah before her Hall of Fame induction last year.

Looking ahead, Utah will travel to Texas for matches against TCU on April 2 and Baylor on April 4 before concluding their regular season at home against Arizona on April 9 and Arizona State on April11.
