Utah women’s basketball earns No. 8 seed in Big 12 tournament

The Utah women’s basketball team will participate in the 2026 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournament in Kansas City. The Big 12 Conference announced the official bracket, placing Utah as the No. 8 seed. With this seeding, Utah receives a first-round bye and is scheduled to play on Thursday, March 5 at 12:30 p.m. MT against the winner of the game between No. 9 BYU and No. 16 Houston.

The championship final is set for Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. MT on ESPN, but if BYU advances to the final, the title game will move to Monday, March 9.

The Big 12 is one of only two conferences nationwide with three-quarters of its teams ranked inside the top 60 of the NET rankings. The conference also features multiple active players who have scored over 2,000 career points, including Olivia Miles and Audi Crooks, both members of the Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20.
