The Utah track and field program announced on March 25 that it will host its first-ever Ute Speed Summit from August 10 to August 12 at the McCarthey Family Track & Field Complex.

The camp is aimed at young athletes interested in sprints, hurdles, jumps (excluding pole vault), and relays. According to the announcement, Utah’s coaching staff will lead the three-day event, which is open to boys and girls in grades eight through twelve and ages thirteen to eighteen.

Prospective campers are encouraged to register or seek more information by visiting www.utahtrackandfieldcamps.com. The camp is open to all entrants but may be limited based on age and grade level.

Fans can follow updates about the Utah cross country and track & field programs online at www.UtahUtes.com or through social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, or by using the Utah360 app.

This new initiative reflects an effort by the program to engage with young athletes over the summer months while providing specialized training opportunities.
