The University of Utah softball team earned the No. 25 spot in Softball America’s Top 25 poll, according to a March 10 announcement. The ranking follows the team’s road sweep of No. 21/22 Arizona State as they began Big 12 play.
This development is significant for the Utes, marking their first national ranking since the opening weeks of the 2024 season. The recognition also comes as Utah received votes in both the NFCA/GoRout and ESPN.com/USA Softball polls.
The Utes’ current success is highlighted by an ongoing 11-game winning streak, bringing their record to 21-5. This marks their best start through 26 games since the previous year. During their recent series in Tempe, Utah outscored Arizona State by a combined total of 35-11 over three games.
Looking ahead, Utah will host Abilene Christian for a three-game series at home, beginning with a doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m.
