The University of Utah men’s lacrosse team will conclude its Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) road schedule on April 11 when it faces the Jacksonville Dolphins. The match, set for 10 a.m. Mountain Time at Rock Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida, will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
This game is significant as it features the last two undefeated teams in the ASUN this season. Utah has a strong record against Jacksonville, remaining unbeaten in their last five meetings and holding a 6-1 advantage since 2020. The Utes are currently ranked No. 20 in the USILA Coaches Poll and have been receiving votes in both the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and USA Lacrosse Media Poll.
Head coach Andrew McMinn, now in his fifth season with Utah, holds an all-time program-best record of 57-26. Under his leadership, Utah has claimed four consecutive ASUN regular season titles from 2022 to 2025 and won two conference championships over the past three seasons. “Tewaaraton” is the Mohawk word for lacrosse, and The Tewaaraton Award symbolizes lacrosse’s Native American Heritage.
Several players have achieved notable milestones this year. Nikko DiPonio was named both the unanimous Preseason ASUN Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-America Honorable Mention status by multiple organizations for his performance last season. Ryan Stines was also unanimously voted as Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and recently became Utah’s all-time career points leader with his 217th point against Virginia.
Offensively, Utah leads all NCAA Division I programs with averages of 27.10 points per game, 16.70 goals per game, and ranks third nationally with a scoring margin of +6.30 through ten games this season—trailing only Duke and Richmond by that metric. Luke McNamara leads Division I players with an average of 4.40 goals per game; he also became the first player since 2020 to score ten or more goals in one contest earlier this year.
Looking ahead after Saturday’s matchup at Jacksonville, Utah will return home for its final two regular-season games: Queens on April 18 and Air Force on April 25 at Ute Field.
