Utah Golf finished the second day of The Goodwin tournament in 12th place, recording a score of 4-over for the day and a running total of 3-over 563 as of March 27.
The team’s performance at Stanford Golf Course saw senior Brandon Robison lead with a round of 1-under 69. Junior Jack Jerge finished even par for the day, while senior Davis Johnson posted a score of 1-over 71. Juniors Sergio Jimenez and Gabriel Palacios each completed their rounds with scores of 4-over 74.
Robison’s play allowed him to move up by 23 spots on the leaderboard, tying with Johnson for the position of thirty-fourth. Jerge also advanced, climbing thirteen places to tie for forty-fourth, while Jimenez ended tied for fifty-seventh.
After two rounds, Brigham Young University and UCLA shared first place at twelve under par. Long Beach State and Stanford followed closely behind at eleven under par. Utah stood in twelfth place among thirty teams competing in the event.
The Goodwin is scheduled as a three-day event from March 26 through March 28 at Stanford Golf Course in California. The competition consists of three eighteen-hole rounds totaling fifty-four holes.
