The University of Utah’s diving team is set to compete at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships in Flagstaff, Arizona, from March 7 to 11. The event will be held at the Wall Aquatic Center and features a field that includes teams such as Air Force, Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, California, UCLA, USC and others.

Utah will send eight divers: Attila Bernatsky, Alex Just and Elias Petersen for the men’s events; Cierra Cole, Callie Eaglestone, Kathryn Grant, Emilia Nilsson Garip and Annalise Shrader for the women’s events. The schedule includes both individual and team competitions across various boards and platforms throughout the weekend.

At last week’s Big 12 Championships, Utah divers won seven conference medals. Both the men’s team (Bernatsky, Just and Petersen) and the women’s team (Eaglestone, Grant and Nilsson Garip) earned gold in their respective team events. Petersen took individual gold on the 1-meter springboard with a score of 400.10. On the women’s side of the 1-meter board, Nilsson Garip placed second (303.95), Grant was third (301.20), and Eaglestone finished fourth (297.75).

Petersen also finished second on the men’s 3-meter springboard with a score of 425.30—one of the top scores in program history—and sixth in platform finals with a score of 331.35. Eaglestone claimed bronze on the women’s 3-meter board with a score of 326.25 and placed fifth on platform.
