The University of Utah announced on May 5 that a total of 99 current or former student-athletes will receive their degrees during the university’s commencement ceremony scheduled for Thursday, April 30, at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The event marks the institution’s 157th general commencement and will be available for live viewing online.

This recognition includes graduates from Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and those expected to complete their degrees in Summer 2026. The acknowledgment highlights the academic achievements of student-athletes across a range of sports programs at the university.

Utah Athletics recently matched its highest Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in department history for the second consecutive year, achieving a rate of 95 percent according to an annual GSR report released in November 2025. This figure is tied for the third-highest among all power conference public institutions and marks eight straight years with a GSR of at least 93 percent.

Student-athletes from multiple teams are included among this year’s graduates, representing sports such as baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, cross country and track & field, football, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, skiing, women’s soccer, softball, swimming & diving (men’s and women’s), tennis (men’s and women’s), beach volleyball, and volleyball.

The continued high graduation rates underscore both academic commitment by student-athletes and support provided by Utah Athletics staff. As these students transition beyond collegiate athletics into new professional or academic endeavors after graduation ceremonies conclude this spring and summer sessions.
