Teya Sidberry, a standout from Judge Memorial Catholic High School, took the court Thursday, Feb. 26 as the Texas Longhorns secured a 79-50 victory against the Georgia Lady Bulldogs.
The 6-1 senior forward added three points and collected one rebound during her 11 minutes of play.
Sidberry and the Longhorns are scheduled to visit the Alabama Crimson Tide next, with tipoff set for Sunday, March 1 at 11 a.m.
Utah won its baseball series opener against Texas Tech with a final score of 10-3 on April 17 at America First Ballpark. Strong hitting from Cal Miller and effective relief pitching led to victory for the Utes.
The University of Utah softball team fell to Baylor by a score of 9-1 during Friday’s Big 12 matchup. Four Utes collected hits but could not overcome Baylor’s early lead. The teams are set for another contest on Saturday.
Utah Baseball begins a seven-game homestand this weekend with a Big 12 series against Texas Tech. The team will honor past champions while highlighting recent player achievements both offensively and defensively.
