President J. Stuart Adams, who serves as the President of the Utah Senate, recently reflected on the outcomes and legislative priorities of Utah’s latest session through a series of social media posts.

On March 7, 2026, Adams stated, “This session, the Legislature stayed focused on what matters most: families. We worked to keep more money in parents’ pockets through tax relief, child tax credits and lower costs at the gas pump. At the same time, we made long-term investments in education and energy so Utah”.

Later that day, he reiterated his commitment to ongoing improvement in Utah’s governance by writing on March 7, 2026: “Every legislative session is an opportunity to leave Utah a little better than we found it. This year we worked to strengthen the foundations that make our state such a special place to live. The work we do is about making sure that when Utah’s children grow up and start families”.

On March 9, 2026, Adams addressed procedural oversight regarding recent legislation: “At the conclusion of the general session, all legislation undergoes review to ensure compliance with constitutional and statutory requirements. After careful review, I determined that H.B. 212 County Formation Amendments did not pass within the constitutionally required”.
