Matt MacPherson, a public figure active on social media, recently shared several updates related to religious events and experiences in Utah.
On April 4, 2026, MacPherson commented on a tradition within the State Legislature, stating: “One of the few perks of the State Legislature is the church Christmas dinner, hosted by a member of the Quorum of the Twelve. Last year was Elder Caussé and his wife, and they were wonderful and spent half the event shaking hands with every guest personally.”
The following day, on April 5, 2026, he posted a holiday greeting: “Happy Easter! https://t.co/WRyQIzCNvK”
Later that same day, MacPherson described his impressions after previewing an updated tour at Temple Square: “I had an opportunity to get a sneak preview of the new Temple Square tour and let me just say, wow! It has a replica of the (Oklahoma?) temple inside, so you can tour the interior like a 365 day open house. It’s filled with interactive displays and models, ambient and dynamic https://t.co/QfxowECr15”
Temple Square in Salt Lake City serves as a central gathering place for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is one of its highest governing bodies. Elder Gérald Caussé has served as Presiding Bishop for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since October 2015.
