Utah’s Lani White and LA Sneed have received postseason honors from the Big 12 Conference, according to an announcement made in Kansas City, Missouri. White was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, while Sneed earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Freshman Team.
White, a senior who returned to Utah after playing the previous season at Virginia Tech, leads her team with an average of 15.6 points per game. She has made 66 three-pointers and 159 field goals this season. Her shooting percentages are 46.6% from the field, 40.5% from three-point range, and 84.3% from the free-throw line. White is also second on her team in rebounding with an average of 4.8 per game and a total of 144 rebounds for the season. She has scored at least 20 points in nine games and reached double figures in scoring in 16 of the last 18 regular-season games.
Sneed, a freshman from San Antonio, Texas and a five-star ESPN Top 100 recruit, has started in fourteen games this season for Utah. As a starter, she averages 8.3 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting over forty-two percent from the field during those starts. For the full season, she is averaging nearly eight points per game and leads her team with ninety-nine total assists.
Utah will enter the Big 12 Tournament as the eighth seed and is scheduled to play Thursday, March 5 at 12:30 p.m Mountain Time against either BYU or Houston.
