Senior Evan VanBrocklin concluded the 2025-26 season for the University of Utah Swimming and Diving program at the NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, held at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta on March 28. VanBrocklin finished his final collegiate race with a time of 1:43.80 in the 200 individual medley, placing 29th in the field.
VanBrocklin is recognized as the program record holder in both the 100 and 200 butterfly events. Over his senior season, he achieved ten first-place finishes, marking a significant contribution to his team.
Head coach Jonas Persson said, “Evan had a good swim this morning. He went out and executed really well and was really close to his personal best, so I’m very happy with his performance today. He has been a very important part of our team the last four years and has contributed a lot in and out of the pool and in the classroom, so we are sorry to see him leave, but we’re all excited to see what he will do in his next chapter his life.”
The conclusion of VanBrocklin’s college swimming career marks an important transition for both him and Utah’s men’s swimming program as they look ahead to future seasons.
