Cheryl K. Acton, a member of the Utah House of Representatives, shared a series of posts on her Twitter account between March 19 and March 21, 2026, reflecting on the value of work and commenting on the SAVE Act.

On March 19, Acton posted a quote from David O. McKay: “Let us realize that the privilege to work is a gift, that the power of work is a blessing, that love of work is success.” – David O. McKay (meaning work in all its many forms, not just financially.

Two days later, on March 21, she commented on another statement with: “This is how I’ve always felt. Well said.”

Later that same day, Acton addressed issues related to citizenship verification under proposed federal legislation: “Interesting statement. Important to remember that the SAVE Act allows each state to determine how its citizens may attest to citizenship if they lack the usual credentials (birth certificate or passport.) The SAVE Act itself would not be necessary if the border had been secure in”

The SAVE Act refers to proposed federal legislation aimed at strengthening voter eligibility verification by requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration. Under this act, states would retain authority over acceptable documentation for attesting citizenship when traditional documents are unavailable.

Acton’s comments come amid ongoing national debate regarding election security and border policy. She has previously expressed views supporting stronger verification measures while emphasizing state-level flexibility in implementation.
