Cheryl K. Acton, a member of the Utah House of Representatives, posted several messages on her X (formerly Twitter) account highlighting recent activities and sentiments related to the Utah legislature.

On January 9, 2026, Acton shared a video produced by the House Republican Majority staff: “Don’t miss this very entertaining video about how to follow what’s happening during General Session, created by the House Republican Majority staff, especially @jackson1murphy. It was unveiled yesterday to rave reviews.”

Later that evening, she commented on one aspect of the video, writing on January 9: “I think my favorite phrase (of many) is ‘majestic stone habitat’ – our beautiful Capitol building. I don’t know where they found the narrator, but he is wonderful!”

The following day, January 10, Acton expressed pride in her state and its institutions: “Just going to put this here…Very proud of my fellow Utahns, our communities, our great legislature @utahhousereps, @GovCox and his agencies, and all who contribute to ‘Life Elevated’ in Utah year after year. It’s a pleasure to live here.”

Acton’s references to “General Session” pertain to the annual legislative session held at the Utah State Capitol. The session brings together lawmakers from across Utah to debate and pass legislation impacting residents statewide. “Life Elevated” is Utah’s official state slogan and is commonly used in government communications and promotional materials.
