Census Bureau: 73.1% of people in Salt Lake County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 1,173,331 citizens living in Salt Lake County in 2021, 73.1% were old enough to vote, equating to 857,963 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 430,673 were male, constituting 50.2%, and 427,290 were female, making up 49.8%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Salt Lake County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 70.7%.
